Dark Illustrations
I created illustrations for Justyna Kopinska’s book "Will God Forgive Sister Bernadette?", a reportage about children abused in an orphanage run by nuns. Most of the illustrations are based on classical artworks, reinterpreted as dark, expressionist drawings with high contrast and bold lines. They reference sacral art, but in a twisted and unsettling way.
